Insurance startup pulls in $58M Series D

CoverHound, the creator of an online insurance marketplace, has raised $58 million in a round led by Hiscox. Founded in 2010, the company has raised over $112 million in total equity financing, including a $33 million round in 2015 at a valuation of $103 million. Based in San Francisco, CoverHound's platform allows users to compare and buy insurance for their cars, homes and businesses.
