A new infusion of funds will enable startup Getable to get through the heavy lifting of creating a cloud-based mobile app for contractors to rent equipment. The San Francisco-based company closed a second $1.8-million round of bridge-style seed funding; investors included Andreessen Horowitz, Lowercase Capital, Founder Collective and Promus Ventures. Created for the iPhone and now in pre-alpha mode, the company’s app is designed to be a real-time interface between contractors and rental providers.
