Italy's Clessidra picks new head of PE

Andrea Ottaviano, a former European managing partner with L Catterton, has joined Italy's Clessidra as its head of private equity. Ottaviano joined L Catterton in 2008. Prior to that, he was CEO of Sofipa, the private equity arm of Capitalia, which later merged with UniCredit. His appointment follows the recent launch of the Clessidra Restructuring Fund.
