Justice Department said to disapprove of mobile mega-merger

The US Justice Department has told T-Mobile and Sprint that the pair's $26 billion merger is unlikely to gain approval in its current form, according to The Wall Street Journal. T-Mobile chief executive John Legere denied the report in a Tweet, calling the premise of the story "simply untrue." Shares in Sprint (NYSE: S) closed Wednesday down over 6%.
