Tilman Fertitta, owner of the Landry's restaurant chain, has agreed to buy the Houston Rockets NBA franchise from Leslie Alexander for $2.2 billion, a record price for an NBA team. Fertitta is also an original investor in the NFL's Houston Texans and the star of the CNBC show "Billion Dollar Buyer." The transaction, which includes the operation of the team's Toyota Center Arena, still requires the approval of the NBA board of governors.
