Liquid Robotics, a provider of ocean-focused robotics technology and services for monitoring the briny deep, has raised $45 million in Series E funding. Leading the round was Riverwood Capital, with participation from existing investors VantagePoint Capital Partners. To keep pace with the growing demand for its services, Liquid Robotics will use the capital to expand global sales and its partnering and services organizations. The Sunnyvale, CA company will also use part of the proceeds to develop more products. The company's pre-money valuation comes to over $139 million.
