MassPRIM Names Michael Bailey Head of Private Equity

The Massachusetts Pension Reserves Investment Board (MassPRIM) has reportedly named Michael Bailey senior investment officer and director of private equity, effective February 26. He will report to chief investment officer and executive director Michael Trotsky. Wayne Smith, his predecessor, left the organization in July 2011 after holding the post for several years. MassPRIM's current private equity allocation has hovered around the 11% mark recently, above the fund's long-term 10% target.
