Turns out, Microsoft is definitely going to buy Yammer. The Redmond-based tech giant has officially announced its agreement to pay a premium of $1.2 billion for the enterprise social network provider. Yammer is accustomed to big numbers—the company raked in $85 million in later stage venture funding back in February at a valuation of around $600 million. When the acquisition closes, the Yammer team will keep reporting to its current CEO David Sacks, but join the Microsoft Office Division.
