Middle-market PE sees unprecedented surge in median deal size

Private equity dealmakers are still grappling with how to deploy capital in a competitive, costly environment. Even as buyout flow in the US middle market slackened in 1Q 2017, the median transaction size surged to $238.5 million, relative to a full-year 2016 figure of $128.3 million.
