League tables are always a popular feature in PitchBook reports, and before we unveil our second quarter venture capital league tables in the forthcoming 3Q 2014 U.S. Venture Industry Report (to be published tomorrow), we decided to take a look at some of the most active VC investors since 2000 to provide a taste of what the PitchBook Platform can do.
It’s no surprise that 500 Startups and Y Combinator, which make hundreds of investments in batches each year, have led the league tables in recent years, but you might be surprised to learn that one firm came out on top of the VC deal-making tables every year from 2000 to 2009.
