NXP Files for Secondary Public Offering

NXP Semiconductors (NASDAQ: NXPI) has filed for a secondary public offering of 25 million shares of common stock. All of the shares are being offered by certain stockholders, including Kohlberg Kravis Roberts, Bain Capital, Silver Lake Partners and Apax Partners. Credit Suisse, Goldman Sachs and Morgan Stanley are leading the underwriting. NXP provides application specific semiconductors. The company was acquired by a consortium of investors in 2006 and went public in August 2010.
