PE-backed ABG makes bid for Brooks Brothers

Brooks Brothers, a luxury clothing retailer that recently filed for bankruptcy, has received a financing offer from Authentic Brands Group, according to Bloomberg. ABG is backed by BlackRock and General Atlantic, and holds brands including Sports Illustrated and Aeropostale. It also purchased bankrupt Barneys New York last fall.
