PE-Backed MinSec Bought by PE-Backed CEC

Community Education Centers, a private equity-backed provider of offender reentry, in-prison and jail management services in the United States, has acquired MinSec. The acquired company, MinSec, had been backed by Camden Partners and NewSpring Capital since 2010. It primarily operates community corrections facilities, behavioral health treatment centers, and outpatient programs for the treatment of chemical dependency and mental health disorders. CEC, with more than 30,000 individuals in its daily care across 18 states, counts several PE investors as backers, including LLR Partners, Primus Capital Funds, First Analysis Group, Apex Venture Partners, Allied Capital and The Argentum Group.
