That price could be a bit steep. The Body Shop's revenue dropped from €967.2 million in 2015 to €920.8 million in 2016, Reuters reports, while operating profit dipped from €54.8 million to €33.8 million during that span.
There’s been plenty of recent PE activity in Europe's personal products sector, according to the PitchBook Platform, with 182 completed deals in the region since 2010. Deal count dropped to 18 in 2015 but jumped back up to 26 deals last year. The early pace this year is tracking for 30-plus deals, which would set a decade high.
