BWAY, a Platinum Equity portfolio company and supplier of general line rigid containers, has entered into a definitive agreement to acquire Ropak Packaging from the LINPAC Group for approximately $265 million. Ropak produces rigid, plastic shipping containers serving the consumer goods, food processing, construction, dairy, petroleum and other industries. Platinum acquired BWAY in November 2012 through a $1.24 billion secondary buyout.
