Food delivery company Postmates has laid off about 30 people, many of whom held the title of “community manager,” according to BuzzFeed. Senior VP of operations Russell Cook said the move was an effort to fuel continued growth and efficiency, per an email seen by BuzzFeed.
These layoffs come just a couple of weeks after a report broke claiming the company was in solid financial health and on its way to profitability within the next year or two. This news might contradict such a story.
