Construction and Engineering | Munich, Germany | Corporate Acquisition
Industrial gas giants Linde (FRA: LIN) and Praxair (NYSE: PX) have entered into a merger agreement several months after the deal, announced in December, was met with fierce resistance from German workers and unions. The combined company will adopt the Linde name and be incorporated in Ireland. It has a market cap in excess of $70 billion as of May 31 and will be governed by a 12‐member board of directors with equal representation from Linde and Praxair. The companies expect the transaction to close in the second half of 2018.
