Privately backed CEVA, Polyphor eye floats amid Swiss IPO boom

Supply chain group CEVA Logistics and biotech Polyphor have both announced plans to list on the SIX Swiss Exchange, continuing a public-exit frenzy in Switzerland this year.

CEVA, backed by Apollo Global Management, is planning a CHF 1.3 billion (around €1.1 billion) float to repay debt, while Polyphor is seeking to raise up to CHF 150 million to fund the development of its antibiotic murepavadin, which is currently in Phase III testing.

The drug company's backers include Ingro Finanz, Rosetta Capital and BioMed Partners.

The announcements follow a flurry of activity in the Swiss IPO market this year. Paid-for social network ASMALLWORLD, for example, floated last month, giving the company a valuation of CHF 101 million.

March also saw the listings of medical device maker Medartis and sensor manufacturer Sensirion, raising a combined total of almost CHF 200 million.
