Men's accessories maker Randa has approached apparel brand Perry Ellis with an improved acquisition offer of $28.90 per share in cash. Randa first approached Perry Ellis about a deal on July 2, offering $28 per share, or about $444 million. But Perry Ellis remains committed to the $27.50 per-share offer from founder George Feldenkreis, who is backed by Fortress Investment Group. Shares of Perry Ellis (NASDAQ: PERY) popped 5% Friday.
