Regulators block DNB's Sbanken buyout

Norwegian antitrust regulators have ruled that DNB, the country's largest bank, should not be allowed to buy online rival Sbanken, Reuters reported. DNB had proposed amendments in October to address antitrust concerns about the offer, worth 11.1 billion Norwegian kroner (about €1.1 billion), but the Norwegian Competition Authority found that the merger would hurt consumers in the mutual fund market.
