Restoration Robotics Harvests $45M Series C Extension

Restoration Robotics has received $45 million in an extension of its Series C round originally raised in 2011; the initial tranche of $41 million was raised at a valuation of over $105 million. The company has developed a computer-assisted, physician-controlled device that aids the harvesting of hair follicles during hair restoration procedures. Its first VC funding in 2006, an $11 million raise, came at a valuation of $20 million. In total, RR has received over $120 million in financing.
