SendBird rakes in $50M

SendBird, a mobile-chat API developer, has raised an additional $50 million for its existing Series B, bringing the round total to $102 million. Tiger Global led the extension, with participation from Iconiq Capital, which led the initial Series B. The company held a $302 million valuation in February, almost five times higher than its $64 million valuation after a $16 million Series A in 2017. Founded in 2013 and based in the Bay Area, SendBird develops a white-label API to enable messaging features in third-party mobile applications.
