Serena Williams, Usain Bolt invest in YC-backed endurance startup

Let's Do This, a graduate of Y Combinator that maintains a database of marathons, ironman triathlons and other endurance events, has raised $5 million in a seed round led by NFX, with tennis star Serena Williams, former sprinter Usain Bolt and women's marathon world record-holder Paula Radcliffe all participating in the deal as angels. The Let's Do This platform allows users to find, review and sign up for thousands of races of varying lengths and intensities; the startup was launched in 2016 and is based in London.
Bolt has begun embracing the world of tech since his retirement from the track in 2017. He's the co-founder of an e-scooter startup called Bolt Mobility, telling Bloomberg earlier this year that the company was his "first investment."
Williams, meanwhile, has been active in the sector for several years now. In April, she officially unveiled a firm called Serena Ventures that already counts names like Coinbase and Impossible Foods as part of its portfolio.
