J.M. Smucker (NYSE: SJM) has agreed to buy the Wesson cooking oils brand from fellow US foods conglomerate Conagra (NYSE: CAG) for $285 million. Conagra will continue to make the products sold under the Wesson brand and provide other transition services for up to a year following the close of the transaction. Wesson will join Smucker's portfolio of food brands, which includes Crisco, Jif and Pillsbury.
