SoFi Ventures to support financial services startups

SoFi, a provider of online lending and wealth management services, has launched a strategic VC arm led by Logan Allin, an advisor at the company since 2012. Axios previously reported that SoFi would seek outside LP commitments and commit capital to the fund itself. Founded in 2011, SoFi raised a $453 million round in March at a $4.4 billion valuation; it's backed by firms including QED Investors and Third Point Ventures.
