SYNNEX to pick up Westcon-Comstor's Americas biz for $600M

SYNNEX has agreed to acquire the Westcon-Comstor Americas business, a tech distributor, from Datatec for $600 million, made up of $500 million in stock and $100 million in cash. SYNNEX, a provider of distribution and logistics services, will also acquire a 10% stake in Datatec's Westcon EMEA and APAC businesses for $30 million. Shares of SYNNEX (NYSE: SNX) closed Tuesday up 3%, with Datatec (JSE: DTC) jumping almost 12%.
