Tableau Software, a Seattle visualization-software company backed by New Enterprise Associates and Meritech Capital Partners, has filed to raise $150 million in an initial public offering. The company expects to list on NYSE under the symbol DATA. With a focus on business intelligence, the company’s software transforms raw data into interactive charts and simulations, helping its clients better see and understand their data. New Enterprise Associates made a $10 million Series B investment in the company in September 2008, and Meritech made its investment in 2010. Goldman Sachs and Morgan Stanley are slated to lead the underwriting efforts for the offering.
