The rise of artificial intelligence and machine learning among the startup community is hard to ignore.
With applications ranging from cybersecurity to autonomous cars, it’s little wonder the investor community has been quick off the block. VC backing in European AI and machine learning nearly broke the €1 billion barrier in 2016, per the PitchBook Platform.
The rise of the machines has clearly accelerated in the last few years. Since 2015, 494 VC investors have participated in at least one of the 453 machine learning/AI deals in Europe.
