In the same year, Image Engine was acquired by Cinesite, a portfolio company of Endless. The visual effects and animation specialist has worked on the show since its fifth season.
Since 2014, 376 PE investors have backed 488 media companies across the globe, per the PitchBook Platform. Last year, PE splashed over €9 billion on 123 deals, yet 2017 looks set to fall somewhat short of that number, with only €1.66 billion spent across 56 investments so far this year.
