Chicago-based PE firm Thoma Bravo has acquired network security solutions provider Crossbeam Systems from a bundle of VC backers. Crossbeam allows companies and IT organizations to consolidate hundreds of security applications into one virtualized platform, helping reduce capital expenses. Its last VC financing round, in 2008, netted the company $25 million. Thoma Bravo invests across multiple industries, with a focus in enterprise and infrastructure software and financial and business services.
