Software-as-a-Service (SaaS) has become an increasingly popular model over recent years because of the benefits and global accessibility it provides users; the sector’s growth potential hasn’t been lost on investors, either. In just the past two years, 2,334 VC investors have made an investment in a SaaS company, according to the PitchBook Platform, with those deals totaling more than $76.5 billion of capital invested. During that timeframe, 87 of the VCs have participated in at least 20 SaaS deals, including 11 investors that have been part of 50 or more. Of the 20 most active investors since the beginning of 2014, 14 manage AUMs of at least $1 billion and 17 are headquartered within the U.S.
