More and more, the growing virtual community occupies our daily reality. Courtesy of smartphones and tablets, we can be joined at the hip to friends and family whether they are across the country or, in some moments of laziness, in different rooms of the house. Investors recognize the growing role of virtual connectedness, and in the past three years, 656 VC investors have backed U.S.-headquartered social/platform software-related companies, according to the PitchBook Platform. 110 of those investors have between $100 million and $1 billion of assets under management, while another 69 manage between $1 billion and $10 billion. Of all the investors, about 40% (272) have completed at least one investment in the industry within the past 6 months. To see the full list, contact us here.
