Travel business backs Didi Chuxing

Ridehailing company Didi Chuxing has brought in $500 million in new funding from Booking Holdings, an online travel company that owns travel brands including Kayak and Priceline. With the investment, Booking will offer an on-demand car service through its apps. Backed by SoftBank and others, Didi was most recently valued at an estimated $57.6 billion.
