Treehouse, the provider of an online coding-education platform, has raised $7 million in Series B financing. Leading the round was first-time investor Kaplan Ventures, with participation from Social + Capital Partnership. Treehouse offers virtual instruction in coding, website building and app creation, utilizing a full-time teaching staff. The company has also announced it will be expanding its presence to high school programs. The Orlando, FL-based startup also received $4.75 million in early-stage financing in April 2012.
