Uber is reportedly in talks with car-valet startup Luxe to acquire several of the company's engineers and potentially some of its technology. Luxe operated an app for on-demand valet parking services that shut down several months ago; the startup’s CEO, Curtis Lee, is working on another version of the app and would not be part of any Uber deal, per Recode. The startup had raised more than $75 million from investors including Redpoint Ventures, Venrock and Hertz and was valued at $160 million last March. In a separate personnel development, Uber reportedly plans to hire Brian Zajac as its new head of hardware engineering for autonomous vehicles as part of a shakeup related to the firing of Anthony Levandowski.
