Asset Management | Aberdeen, UK | Corporate Acquisition
Standard Life's proposed £11 billion merger with Aberdeen Asset Management has been given the go-ahead by the UK's Competition and Markets Authority. The combined group is set to become one of Europe's largest asset managers with around £660 million of assets under management. Earlier this week, shareholders in both companies voted to approve the deal, with 95% of Aberdeen investors and 98% of Standard's backing the move.
