United Technologies has offered to acquire Rockwell Collins, but the two aerospace parts suppliers are at odds over the price of a deal that would likely top $20 billion in value, per The Wall Street Journal. United Tech reportedly entered an initial bid of less than $140 per share; Rockwell Collins closed Tuesday trading at $125.70 per share on the NYSE. The deal would create a combined company with a market cap of over $115 billion. The report comes about four months after Rockwell Collins purchased B/E Aerospace for $8.6 billion.
