Since the beginning of 2006, VC investors have completed 170 financings involving U.S.-headquartered B2C electronics companies, according to the PitchBook Platform. During that timeframe, over $1.5 billion in funding has been poured into the space, including some hefty individual financings. The largest deal in the industry since 2006 was B456’s $102 million raise in 2008. And just this week, Roku landed a chunky $60 million investment. That being said, the typical financing during the time period has been on the smaller side. For all 170 deals, the median financing size has been around $3.3 million.
