VCs Put $17M in iWalk to Push the Limits of Personal Bionics

Personal bionics company iWalk has run into a healthy $17 million infusion of capital, bringing its total venture backing to $57.6 million. New investor Gilde Healthcare Partners led the Series D financing, which also saw participation from existing investors WFD Ventures, General Catalyst Partners and Sigma Partners. iWalk's BiOM Ankle System is the first commercially available personal bionics product for lower-limb amputees.
