Vitamin Shoppe has filed for a secondary public offering of 5.5 million shares with JP Morgan, BofA Merrill Lynch and Barclays Capital serving as the lead underwriters. The company will not be selling shares in the offering. Instead, all shares will be offered by stockholders, including Irving Place Capital which holds a 52.7% stake in the company prior to the offering. Vitamin Shoppe is a retailer and direct marketer of vitamins, minerals, supplements and other nutritional products. The company completed its IPO last October and is now listed on the NYSE under the ticker symbol VSI.
