October 19, 2020
Volkswagen's trucks business Traton has agreed to buy diesel engine and truck manufacturer Navistar for $44.50 per share. The German group originally offered $35 per share in January, increasing its bid in September to $43 a piece. The deal will allow Traton, which already holds a 16.8% stake in Navistar, to expand its presence in North America.
