Warburg Pincus Agrees to Sell Coyote to UPS for $1.8B

Warburg Pincus has reached an agreement to sell Coyote Logistics to UPS (NYSE: UPS) for $1.8 billion—a deal expected to close by the end of August. Founded in 2006, Coyote is a third-party logistics service provider that reported annual revenue of $2.1 billion in 2014; it arranges customers' freight shipments through a carrier network of over 35,000 trucking companies across North America. Warburg Pincus first backed Coyote in 2007.
