Wellspring Closes its Biggest Fund

Wellspring Capital Management has closed on $1.2 billion in commitments for its Wellspring Capital Partners V fund, making its fifth fund its largest so far. The fund's predecessor, 2006 vintage Fund IV, raised $1 billion. Wellspring was legally advised by Paul, Weiss, Rifkind, Wharton & Garrison on its latest fund, while Credit Suisse served as its placement agent.
