Federal Reserve Bank of Boston General Information
The Federal Reserve Bank Of Boston is part of the Federal Reserve System located in Boston, Massachusetts. The bank oversees more than 100 banks and holding companies in six New England states including Connecticut, Massachusetts, Maine, New Hampshire, Rhode Island, and Vermont. It conducts examinations and investigations of member institutions, distributes money, issues savings bonds and treasury securities and also assists the Federal Reserve in formulating monetary policy. The bank also processes checks and acts as a clearing-house for payments between banks.
