Old Southern Bank General Information

Description

Old Southern Bank was a lender based in Orlando, Florida. As of March 12, 2010, the firm was closed by the Florida Office of Financial Regulation, and the Federal Deposit Insurance Corporation (FDIC). To protect the depositors, the FDIC entered into a purchase and assumption agreement with Centennial Bank to assume all of the deposits of Old Southern Bank, thus depositors of Old Southern Bank automatically became depositors of Centennial Bank. The firm fell under the weight of problem real-estate loans, capital loss and FDIC scrutiny. The entity is no longer tracked by PitchBook.
