Dr. Harold Vogel serves as Chief Executive Officer at Vogel Capital Management. Dr. Vogel serves as Board Member at Jumptuit. He serves as Advisor at MusicXray. He was a senior entertainment executive at Merrill Lynch for seventeen years. He is a chartered financial analyst (C.F.A.) and served on the New York State Governor's Motion Picture and Television Advisory Board and as an adjunct professor at Columbia University's Graduate School of Business. He also taught at the University of Southern California's film program. Dr. Vogel currently heads an independent investment and consulting firm in New York City and lectures and writes on entertainment and media, travel and tourism, and extreme market conditions. Dr. Vogel has authored numerous books including Entertainment Industry Economics: A Guide for Financial Analysis, 10th ed. (Cambridge University Press, forthcoming 2019); Financial Market Bubbles and Crashes: Features, Causes, and Effects, 2nd ed. (Palgrave Macmillan, 2018); and Travel Industry Economics: A Guide for Financial Analysis, 3rd ed. (Springer, 2016). Academic articles include: "An Analytical Review of Volatility Metrics for Bubbles and Crashes" (with R. Werner), International Review of Financial Analysis March 2015; and "Are There Economic Laws and Constant? - A Comparison to the Sciences," Journal of Contemporary Management, 1(2017)(March). Dr. Vogel earned an M.B.A. in finance at Columbia's Business School, a Master's degree in economics from New York University, and a Ph.D. in financial economics from the University of London in 2008, at London's Cass Business School.
