Description
Mr. Paul Sagan is the Chief Executive Officer at e-Media and serves as Chairman at ProPublica. He was previously the Executive Vice Chairman of the Board at Akamai Technologies. He is a Board Member at VMware, where he also chairs the Compensation Committee and serves on the Nominating, Governance, and Related Persons Transactions Committee. He holds board positions at Bugcrowd, Section 4, Casana, Moderna Therapeutics, and Vade, and was formerly a Board Member at Jana Mobile. He has been a director of VMware since April 2014 and was elected Lead Director in February 2015. Mr. Sagan served as a director of EMC from December 2007 until the Dell acquisition in September 2016. He has been an Advisor at General Catalyst, a venture capital firm, since January 2014. Joining Akamai in October 1998 as Vice President and COO, he was appointed by President Obama in December 2010 to the President's National Security Telecommunications Advisory Committee. Prior to this, Mr. Sagan was a Senior Advisor to the World Economic Forum from July 1997 to August 1998 and held senior executive roles at Time Warner Cable, Time Inc., and CBS, Inc. He holds a BS in Journalism from Northwestern University. He served as Board Member at Zorus.
