Mr. Brian NeSmith is a Co-Founder of Arctic Wolf, where he also serves as President and Chief Executive Officer. He brings more than 30 years of experience. He is a Board Member at Boundary. In 1999, he joined then privately-held CacheFlow as President and CEO. He took the company public in November 1999 and operated as it's Chief Executive for over 12 years helping lead the company through its major transition from caching to Web Security and its name change to Blue Coat Systems. In 1995, he joined Ipsilon Networks as it's CEO. The Ipsilon platform was a powerful firewall appliance and he led the company through the acquisition by Nokia where the appliance became a platform leader for Checkpoint firewalls. He served as general manager of the Nokia firewall appliance division. In 1987, he joined Newbridge Networks and worked in multiple roles as a product marketing manager and product manager for network management solutions. In 1993, he started a business unit focused on Local Area Networking, VIVID, and served as the unit's first general manager. Under his direction, VIVID developed and executed Newbridge's product strategy for Layer 3 Switched Routing products. Throughout his career, he has been a prominent figure in the IT industry, regularly speaking at industry events including Networld Interop, Supercomm, InternetWorld and Technologic Partners' Network Outlook. He has also written for publications such as Network World, Data Communications and InternetWeek. He is a graduate of the Massachusetts Institute of Technology, holding a Bachelors Degree in electrical engineering. Mr. also NeSmith serves as Advisor at Sonae IM.
