Mr. Michael Chalfen is a Co-Founder and serves as Partner at Mosaic Ventures. He is a Board Member at Crate.i. He also served as Director at Apax Partners. Over the past 15 years, he has served on 18 boards and made around 30 investments across the technology and media sectors. Before joining Advent in 2008, he worked at Boston Consulting Group and then spent ten years at Apax (four as a Partner) before going on to make private investments. His deals included growth buyouts such as Future Publishing (FUT.L) and Ginger Media (sold to SMG.L); growth equity investments in SuSE Linux (sold to NOVL, now Attachmate), Eyretel (sold to WITS, now VRNT), Ubizen (sold to Cybertrust) and King.com; and start-ups such as eDreams.com (sold to TA Associates), QXL.com (sold to Naspers), Tideway Systems (sold to BMC), Prevx (sold to Webroot) and Fizzback (sold to NICE Systems). He Awarded a "starred" Double First in History at Cambridge University, he was later the Choate Fellow at Harvard University. He served as a Board Member at Ubiquisys. He serves as a Non-Executive Director on the boards of Worldstores and Ubiquisys. Privately he is also an investor in and non-Executive Director of Moogsoft and Seal Software and an angel investor at Houzz.com, DudaMobile and an unannounced cloud security vendor. He also serves as a Board Member at Tray.io.
