Mr. Scott Saunders is a Angel Investor. With more than 15 years of experience in the financial industry, he launched Payoff in 2009 with the goal of bringing financial wellness to its community members through validated science, financial products, and support. Since launch, He has been the driving force in raising more than $50 million in equity financing and was recognized on the Goldman Sachs 2012 inaugural list of the Top 100 Most Innovative Entrepreneurs. As Founder and CEO, he has pioneered the financial wellness industry, bringing together a world-class Board of Directors including Joe Saunders, former Chairman & CEO of Visa; Mohamed El-Erian, Chair of President Obama's Global Development Council and Chief Economic Adviser at Allianz; Arianna Huffington, Co-Founder, President and Editor-in-Chief of the Huffington Post Media Group; Sean Park, Founder and Chairman of Anthemis and Jim Lane, former Chairman and CEO of SG Capital Partners. Previously, he was an executive at Walz Group, acquired by LenderLive, a financial technology company serving the nation's largest financial institutions (2008, 2009, 2010 Inc. 500). He has prior experience in both venture capital and government, working with the U.S. Small Business Administration's SBIC program, where he helped invest $700 million in newly formed venture capital firms like Accretive and Emergence Capital backing early-stage businesses like Box, Fandango, Salesforce.com, Veeva, and Yammer. He has an MBA from Columbia Business School and a BS from George Mason University and studied abroad at Oxford University where he played for the golf team.
